Some of the key characteristics of the population in this part of Seoul are: experience of living abroad, financial affluence, fashion forwardness, and intelligent professionals who enjoy high-class cultural and social life. It is also known as a residential area for the super rich.

Location
Cheongdam-dong is a ward of the Gangnam District or Gangnam-gu in Seoul, South Korea. The Gangnam District is one of the 25 gu (local government district) in Seoul. Gangnam means "South of the (Han) River". The Gangnam District is composed of 26 dong (neighborhoods). Cheongdam-dong is bounded by Apgujeong-dong to the west, and Samseong-dong to the south. |
